The interior fit out of KPMG’s head office needed to accommodate approximately 450 staff in an area of 8000 square metres.
The building’s glass frontage provides a strong link between the interior and exterior environments. This relationship is reinforced through keeping the perimeter glazing clear of full height offices. View shafts to the water are attained from deep inside and natural light reaches across the floorspace, minimising the need for artificial lighting.
The interior fitout has made extensive use of planting, again bringing the external environment inside.
The ground floor client facility services the two main tenants. It is a clean non-branded environment, which supports its “concierge” function, providing a light, open space with a strong north-south axis that directs the eye out to the water. The generous floor height gives a luxurious sense of spaciousness.
Throughout the workplace, all partitions are glazed to generate a sense of openness. Materials, colour and form support a high-level professional environment. The space features a variety of room sizes and functions to facilitate a collaborative, flexible environment.
